I’ve got to stop making this inevitable. There is something about getting a decent cash that enhances one’s feelings of invincibility. That is why donkeys end up calling with hands that are supposed to lose, but end up winning. Well at least it seems true for other donkeys!
I think for me, it was, “Well, I was winning with hands like these yesterday, so why shouldn’t I win with them today?” The fact is, I wasn’t even playing hands like these yesterday. I just led myself to believe that I was “IN THE MOMENT.” It led me to call shoves with some pretty damn bad cards! My patience was certainly lacking.
Why I do this, I do not know. But tomorrow, I am certainly going to be ready. I am going to trust my true instinct, which was working extremely well the last couple of days – I was just ignoring it. Time to get back to my real game and keep building this bankroll.
